What would you do…

… if you only had 6 months left in your job? That is the question facing one of my clients right now. But as I was working with him the other day it struck me that it is something that everyone should be asking themselves, even if they’ve only just started a new job or business.

It’s the kind of question that focuses your attention on the key issues: what matters most in this role? How do I make the greatest difference and provide the greatest value? How do I want to be remembered? What am I looking for in my next role?

And, if you DO happen to be in the last six months of a role, it keeps you out of that ‘counting down the days’ lull that so often drags performance down. You want the end of your tenure to be memorable for the right reasons!
